Google has announced that it is adding new functions to Web Optimizer.
The addition of an A/B testing option I think is great, definitely a boon for pages that don’t get a large enough set of traffic to support multi-variant testing. Also it is a better option for large scale change tests, like color scheme. And the addition of access through the My Client Center is great for those that access multiple accounts.
The one danger in the updates is the ability to delete experiments. You can waste a lot of time if you are testing things that have already been deleted. If you use this function I suggest that you create another log with a brief description of tests that have been removed. It is not a horrible thing to revisit experiments, but you will be better served by doing it on purpose and not recreating experiments that never worked in the first place.
